Abstract

Due to the importance of the ecosystems and economics of sturgeon and investment of Iranian fisheries in the process of artificial propagation and restocking, as well as the increasing private sector investment in meat and caviar production, the need for larvae and fingerlings of sturgeon fish as the most important production factor grows sharply every year. This study mentioned toall the tools and methods at different stages, identification and selection of breeding, breeding and feeding, reproductive indices, hormone injections, reproductive material, fertilization, removal of sticks, incubation, maintenance and feeding of larvae that were carried out in accordance with the instructions of decades ago, should be  revised and modified and by using the tools and the new sciences, the percentage of the response of the breeders, maximize the fertilization and survival of the larvae and the fingerlings, and increase the efficiency of production. In other words, increasing the efficiency of reproduction means increasing the quantity and quality of breeders and their reproductive material, the percentage of response of broodstocks, the percentage of evolution, the fertilization rate, the percentage of hatch and the shelf life of the incubator and larval period and positive changes, although small in each of the steps mentioned, lead to a dramatic increase in final efficiency. In general, the use of suitable water conditions, temperature periods, the use of special diets in the production and identification of breeders at the right time, the use of synthetic hormones with the quality and the proper method of fertilization and removal of egg adhesion, the use of suitable incubators and appropriate larval diets can increase the production efficiency in quantitative and qualitative terms in sturgeon fish.
